Our Philosophy on Privacy

We're passionate hockey gamers, just like you. We created Puck Stats to be the ultimate companion app for your EASHL experience, not a tool to harvest your personal data. Our guiding principle is simple: we only access the information necessary to provide and improve the features you love.

What We Collect & Why

To deliver our services, we handle two types of data:

Public Game Data: When you provide your gamertag (e.g., PlayStation™ Network Online ID or Xbox Gamertag), we use it to access publicly available game statistics from EA's official servers. This includes your club information, player stats (goals, assists, points), and match history. This is the same information visible on public leaderboards.
Anonymous App Analytics: We collect non-personal, aggregated data about how the app itself is used. For example, we track how many users access the LFG Finder or if a particular screen crashes. This data is completely anonymous, cannot be traced back to you, and is essential for us to fix bugs and make Puck Stats better.

How Your Information is Used

Our data usage is straightforward and focused on functionality:

To Display Your Stats: We fetch your Public Game Data to present it in insightful ways, such as daily, weekly, and monthly performance breakdowns.
To Power Community Features: The LFG Finder uses public profiles to help you connect with other players.
To Improve the App: We analyze anonymous usage trends to understand what's working, what isn't, and where we can enhance the experience.

A Note on Third-Party Data (EA Sports)

Puck Stats is an independent, third-party application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Electronic Arts Inc. We access game statistics that are made publicly available by EA. Our access is read-only; we cannot and do not modify your game data in any way. Your use of EA's games is subject to their own privacy policies and terms of service.

Your Control Over Your Data

You are always in control. The information we display is based on your public gamertag. If you wish to remove your data from our app's display, you can do so at any time by deleting your profile from within the app settings. All anonymous analytics data is processed by industry-standard services and is not linked to your identity.
